Self portrait of Liam Thomas

Hi I'm Liam, a representational artist based in Wiltshire, with a main focus on figurative art in both oil and charcoal, exploring colour contrasts and the effect of light through the lens of the Human experience.

I received a First Class Honours in Games Art BA at the University of Northampton in 2021, which kickstarted my passion for painting and drawing and have since taken workshops, both online and in person at Bath and at Raw Umber Studios
in Stroud. I've been taught by many artists I admire, such as Tom Van De Wouwer, Martin Yeoman and Martin Campos. I love to be an active part of the art community, and take pride in helping run an
online art Community as a moderator. I have also exhibited my art in Bath, at the
Royal Cambrian Academy of Art in Wales and at the Mall Galleries, London.

As an artist, I prioritise depicting an accurate and honest likeness, using light and form, and signature brush strokes to present everyday
people from his own personal perspective. I am obsessed with colour and making, just as the Impressionists discovered, perceptual observations with the naive eye.
